Key Responsibilities:    The role will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for assisting in preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects. Provides analytical support for forward-looking financial and business-related projects. Assists in the preparation of forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas. Assists in financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:      
  • The position will work with Branch Managers to improve financial results at the branch.
  • Compile monthly Branch P&L reports and other various ad hoc reports
  • Identify, propose and implement process and/or procedural changes to gain efficiencies, strengthen controls, or improve quality of information generated.
  • Assist with computing and distributing quarterly branch goal results
  • Obtain branch information to assist in preparing quarterly branch forecast/goals and Annual Plans
  • Assist Branch Managers in understanding their branch’s monthly financials and working with them to craft actions needed to improve profitability
  • Assist when needed with reconciling Corporate GL accounts.
  • Analyze branch metrics and prepare monthly reports
  • Preparing profit and loss models, balance sheets and other management reports, using Microsoft Excel to forecast financial outcomes
  • Performing budgeting variance and forecasting analysis for various levels of management
  • Calculate and maintain accurate method in which to forecast revenue
  • Update Cash Forecast & Cast/Deposits spreadsheets daily.
  • Coordinate with AR to Determine Cash Receipts Forecast/Trends to update cash flow forecast.
  • Prepare other analyses as needed
 
Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of Accounting/Financial Reporting experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel
  • 2+ years’ experience in financial analysis or Cost Accounting
  • Experience with NAV a plus

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Working environment consists of an office work space which is conditioned but may encounter various degrees of heat, light and dust.
  • Must be able to sit and work within office environment for majority of the work day. May infrequently lift, up to, 10 pounds. Will need to reach and bend to access files with reasonable accommodation.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to use a computer keyboard, calculator and phone.
