Code Red Safety is looking for a HR Admin at our Corporate Office located in Hammond, IN.  This individual will provided administrative support to one or more human resources functions, including recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, equal employment opportunity, and/or employee records. Process HR department applications, including employment and enrollment applications; maintain attendance and employment records, and compiles statistics for various HR management reports. Conduct pre-employment screening interviews, check references and respond to routine HR questions.

Essential/Primary Job Functions: 
  • Recruits potential employees via employees via recruiting website, college campuses, employee referrals, on-site recruiting social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Webpage) and other sources. Contacts potential candidates and confirms interview schedules. Makes offers and conducts orientation for new employees. Checks candidates work history, competency and other qualifications. Makes offers and conducts orientation for new employees. Assists in developing interview questions with hiring manager. Maintain Applicant Tracking database (CATS).
  • Coordinate onboarding paperwork, drug screens, background checks and prepare personnel folders.
  • Branding and building relationships with current and future new hires.
  • Complete written and verbal verification of employment.
  • Performs routine administrative tasks in support of the HRIS database. Inputs data into ADP and reviews output for accuracy. Generates standard reports for Human Resources or managing personnel.
  • Maintain an efficient filing system for employee and company records.
  • Complete and maintain I-9 documentation.
  • Maintain DISA database and paperwork.
  • Performs exit interviews and processes change of employee status.
  • Additional HR & Admin Duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:
  • Six months + of entering and maintaining data in contact databases, spreadsheets or ATS (applicant tracking systems).
  • Experience in a high-volume Recruiting or Recruiting Assistant role is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Working environment consists of an office work space which is conditioned but may encounter various degrees of heat, light and dust.
  • Must be able to sit and work within office environment for majority of the work day. May infrequently lift, up to, 10 pounds. Will need to reach and bend to access files with reasonable accommodation.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to use a computer keyboard and phone.
