Position Overview

Business Development Manager, responsible for researching and pursuing new business leads for the growth of the business. The manager is expected to work on new business proposals and presentations, with the Sale Team, which are a persuasive representation of an organization’s products/services. Assist the organizations sales and growth efforts by contributing to new customer acquisition. Able to provide ideas to attract new clients and keep the senior management updated about marketplace and competitor activity.

Job Roles & Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure, grow accounts and to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities in multiple industries; coordinating business generation activities and developing customized targeted sales strategies. Working with the Sales team and client through the process.  
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Presenting and delivering information to potential clients at trade shows, client meetings, industry exhibits, and conferences. Will deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions.  
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients (pipeline); maintaining a database in Nutshell, of prospective client information.
  • Arrange meetings for Sales Team with prospective clients.  
  • Build contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities.
  • Follow company guidelines and procedures for acquisition of customers, submission of tenders etc.  
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the organization with Sales Team and Management
  • Maintain knowledge of all product and service offerings of the company
  •  Oversee the sales process to attract new clients.  
  • Work with senior team members to identify and manage risks.

  • Experience in Sales and project management. 
  • High attention to detail and a focus on fact-based decision making.
  • Must be detail oriented and an active listener.

  • Must possess strong customer service skills
Required Experience:
  • Sales Management: 5 years+
  • Must be able to Travel overnight , 50% plus to Branch/Customer Locations.
  • Must maintain a current and valid driver’s license
  • Industry Experience (preferred) 
  • Positive track record of Sales Development
  • Experience in Business Development; implement growth opportunities within and between organizations.
